On 10th of September the Minister of Foreign affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan M.Tazhin has held a meeting in Astana with the Representative of UNICEF H. Zinger
On 10th of September the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Tazhin has held a meeting with the Representative of UNICEF in our country Hana Zinger.
During the meeting two sides have discussed the current condition and perspective directions of the mutual collaboration between Kazakhstan and UNICEF. H.Zinger has also informed her colleague on forthcoming visit of the Executive Principal of UNICEF Ann Veneman paid to Kazakhstan this year.
Upon completion of the meeting the Representative of UNICEF has mentioned the fact of “being proud to work in Kazakhstan – the leader of economical growth in the region”. “Today our common aim is to get the best results for children from the economic power as a whole”, she added.
In UNICEF Representative’s opinion, “We would like to see Kazakhstan serving as example for the CIS states and the world in the social sector… being a tiger of economic growth to become a tiger of social development”, has mentioned H.Zinger.
UNICEF began its activity in Kazakhstan in 1992. In 1999 the regional office for Central Asia and Kazakhstan had been opened in Almaty, in 2001 an office was opened in Astana.
