to the President of the French Republic Nicolas Sarkozy

 


 

On September 15th 2008 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic Kazakhstan in the French Republic Murat Tashibayev presented the Credentials to the President of the French Republic Nicolas Sarkozy.

During the ceremony which was held in the Palace of Elysee, salon “Мurat” M.Tashibayev has underlined that the official visit to France of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A.Nazarbayev on June 10-11, 2008 has opened the new era in the history of the Kazakhstan-France relations, upgrading them on the level of strategic partnership. It was noticed that, first of all, due to the personal contribution of the Head of our State as well as N.Sarkozi, Kazakhstan-France cooperation is developing progressively.

As it is known, during the official visit to Paris of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A.Nazarbayev the breakthrough in the European direction of the foreign policy has been reached and fixed by the signatures of the Heads of two States on the unique document – the Treaty on Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the French Republic. Signing the Treaty became an acknowledgement of Kazakhstan as priority for France, confirmation of the exclusive position of our country on the post-soviet territory. The document fixes a key leading role of Kazakhstan in the region of the Central Asia in perception of one of leading G8 countries.

During an audience, Kazakh diplomat focused attention of the President of the French Republic on outstanding foreign policy initiatives of Kazakhstan, including CIMCA, Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, Conference «Common world: progress through diversity», and also on the program «Way to Europe» adopted by the Head of our State, which reflects the priority directions of political, technological, investment, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation with the countries of the continent and the European institutions.

N.Sarkozi agreed that Kazakhstan, surely, is the key factor of stability and sustainable development in the Central Asia. The President of France, who is currently the Chairman of the European Union, has confirmed his intention to pay an official visit to Astana on  the invitation of the Head of our State. He underlined that France is committed to develop the mutually beneficial cooperation with Kazakhstan on the basis of the Strategic partnership. N.Sarkozi asked to convey his sincere wishes of success to the President of Kazakhstan N.A.Nazarbayev in state affairs devoted to ensuring competitiveness and prosperity of our country.

The Diplomatic counsellor of the Head of French State J.- D. Levitt also took part in the ceremony of the Credentials presentation.

Within the framework of this protocol event an escort, a greeting of the commander of the National guards and walk through the line of a guard of honour were arranged.
