On October, 11 in the suburb of Paris the flower-laying ceremony in honor of M.Shokay was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in France
On October, 11 in the suburb of Paris in Nazhon-sur-Marne the flower-laying ceremony was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in France at the Memorial stela established in honor of Mustafa Shokhay, a well-known Kazakh politician who had lived in this town for a long time.
The Mayor of the city of Nazhon-sur-Marne Mr.Jacque Martan, the representatives of French community, Kazakh Diaspora, the leadership of Kazakh-French-Turkish culture and mutual assistance Association and Kazakhstan – France Friendship Association named after M.Shokay, and also the representatives of cultural intelligence took part in the ceremony.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan in France Murat Tashibayev spoke to the audience gathered to pay the tribute to the memory of Kazakh outstanding leader, also giving information on the activity of the Turkestani national liberation movement leaded and organized by Mustafa Shokay. Participants of ceremony also visited the Municipal museum where the special memorial plate is established in honor of M.Shokay.
The Ambassador M.Tashibayev also informed the audience on the official visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A.Nazarbayev paid to French Republic on 10-11th of June, noting the fact that this visit marked a new milestone in the history of Kazakh-French relationship, elevating it to higher level of strategic partnership. The breakthrough of European direction of Kazakhstan foreign policy was reached out during the official visit of the President N.A.Nazarbayev to Paris and fixed by signing by the Head of two states of the Treaty of Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the French Republic.
The Kazakhstani diplomat acquainted the audience on the programme «Way to Europe» approved by the Head of our state, which reflects the priority directions of political, technological, investment, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation with European institutions and countries as a whole.
