Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan

 

            Kazakhstan was deeply saddened to hear about the incident that occurred in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of the Gaza Strip and expresses its condolences to the families of those killed and injured.

            We believe it is essential to provide the population of the Gaza Strip with international humanitarian assistance.

            The Republic of Kazakhstan advocates a thorough investigation as soon as possible of the circumstances of this tragic incident and urges all the parties involved to show restraint so as to prevent any further escalation of tension.
